To summit La Meije, the beautiful mountain towering 2500 meters above the La Grave village, has for many years been a dream for me. It provides special challenges, as it was one of the last major problems in the Alps to be solved. Even the normal route is graded "D" (Difficile) and is for instance harder than the normal route on Matterhorn.

I did this together with our "own" guide by now, Per Ås. We had talked about doing La Meije together for two years and now was finally the chance to do it.
